Buy a support necklace
Every year, a very special support piece of jewellery is designed for Keramikfestival. The jewellery is created as a beautiful collector’s item that bears witness to our shared local history and creative pulse here in Skælskør.
THE HEART COCKLE
This year’s motif is the heart cockle, which is a very special symbol for Skælskør. It dates all the way back to the Old Danish name Skiælfiskør – the town by the cockle beach shore.
With the beautiful motif, we also shine a spotlight on MUSLINGERUTEN, a four-kilometre art and culture route in the town, with the heart cockle as its permanent visual hallmark. Read more about the route at www.kunstkit.dk/muslingeruten.
The support piece of jewellery is created in a collaboration between two local Skælskør artists. Sculptor Henrik Troelsen has designed and 3D-printed the stamp, which ceramist Cecilie Dige uses to press the motif into the porcelain clay. Each pendant is then shaped by hand using a very special technique that allows the jewellery to be threaded onto a cord and worn around the neck.
SUPPORT THE HEART OF THE FESTIVAL – SUPPORT TODAY
All proceeds from the sale go in full to financing the many audience-engaging activities, workshops and inspiring events that make up the very heart of Keramikfestival.
The jewellery is sold as a necklace, but can easily be tied as a bracelet with sliding knots. See the guide at the bottom of the page. If you collect support jewellery every year, you can create your own unique jewellery ensembles that tell your story and connection to Keramikfestival in Skælskør.
The jewellery can be purchased on the festival day, 8 July 2026, at the info tent at the harbour, where you can also buy previous years’ support jewellery (while stocks last).
